DeJong Iron has served the Paterson & Northern New Jersey area since 1908.  A family business that spanned 4 generations, DeJong was recently acquired by Kaufman Manufacturing Group, a conglomerate of ironworks and steel fabricating companies that is now working with its 5^th generation of family members.

Our goal is to keep the quality service DeJong was known for and add the excitement and energy of the new ownership to take the company to the next level.  We aim to continue as the premier steel fabricators in the area.  We can now also expand our reach beyond New Jersey and serve the entire NY metropolitan area.    We proudly partner with contractors to supply and install steel beams, columns, and flitch plates for new homes or remodeling jobs. Our metal works shop also fabricates and installs roof dunnage for mechanical equipment, roof access ladders, and elevator pit ladders for mechanical contractors. Our expertise and large inventory allow us to fulfill custom orders and unique requests.
