DeJong Iron has served the Paterson & Northern New Jersey area since 1908.  A family business that spanned 4 generations, DeJong was recently acquired by Kaufman Manufacturing Group, a conglomerate of ironworks and steel fabricating companies that is now working with its 5^th generation of family members.

We are committed to maintaining the high-quality service DeJong has long been known for while bringing the enthusiasm and drive of new ownership to elevate the company even further. We strive to remain the leading steel fabricators in the region, while also expanding our reach beyond New Jersey to serve the entire NY metropolitan area. We proudly collaborate with contractors to provide and install steel beams, columns, and flitch plates for both new construction and renovation projects. Our metalworks shop also fabricates and installs roof dunnage for mechanical equipment, roof access ladders, and elevator pit ladders for mechanical contractors. With our expertise and extensive inventory, we are well-equipped to handle custom orders and specialized requests.
